Phoebe is still as beautiful and youthful as when she was acting.

The name Phoebe Cates may bring to mind one of the sexiest movie scenes of all time in which a stunning brunette emerges from a pool in slow motion clad in red bikini in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Fast forward twenty years and somehow Phoebe Cates still looks the same~ except now she is comfortably curating one of the chicest design emporiums in Manhattan! In 2005, Cates opened up Blue Tree, a fantastic store on the Upper East Side.

Thoughtfully chosen by Cates, the boutique showcases unusual jewelry; gifts and collectibles; jeweled scarves; vintage blankets and throws; shawls and dresses; chic coats and separates that “empower a woman to express her unique, glamorous self. I wanted to create a place where everyone could find something with prices ranging from $25 to $25,000 – an adventure at every turn,” according to Phoebe.

KDH caught up with the gorgeous entrepreneur and asked her to choose her FIVE FAVORITE  BLUE TREE FALL ITEMS that every haute Hamptonite will fall in love with!

Here’s what Phoebe selected:

1. The Herno Coat - $785.00 Black quilted coat from Herno featuring two front patch pockets, button front fastening and a high funnel neckline. The jacket has decorative horizontal stitching creating a quilted effect and is perfect for snowy winters!
2. White Ally Capellino Bag - $1250.00 A generously-sized perch skin shoulder bag with a dark bronze metal finish frame. This bag features a hand woven leather handle, snap closures and a zip secured inside pocket. It's perfect for the Hamptons because it can be worn with jeans and a sweater or with a chic dress to dinner.
3. Hand-carved Lucite boxes by Joyce Francis - $1250.00 Joyce Francis is a Manhattan-based artist who hand carves Lucite using twenty five different sized dentist drills in a medium referred to as “cold carving.” Each box is a one-of-a-kind piece of art and is commissioned exclusively for Blue Tree. Joyce’s purses are in the permanent collection of costume exhibits at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. These beautiful boxes add a rich pop of color and are a great conversation piece to add to a Hamptons coffee table!
4. Prova Star Earrings - $850.00 Hand-cut and hand-hammered gold-plated silver star dangle earrings. Just because you live in the country doesn't mean you shouldn't add a little rock star twist to your look sometimes!
5. Olio Lusso Luxury Face Oil - $140.00 Olio Lusso, composed of an aromatic blend of eleven essential oils, is derived from flowers and other botanicals- each one known for its skin-soothing, softening and glow-giving properties. Blended together, they leave the skin looking and feeling instantly supple, radiant and hydrated. This is your best defense against the harsh temperatures of a winter on the East End!
