After living in Manhattan for the past sixteen years, KDH is still curating our new Hamptons “look.” There’s nothing more cringe worthy to me than seeing girls in tiny tube dresses and giant platforms at the Golden Pear on a Saturday morning, but that doesn’t mean that we should all be relegated to a closet full of Belgian loafers either! So….start from the bottom up. Admittedly, Fall footwear is KDH catnip! I love fur, suede, hardware, and all heights of heels. However, there is no way I can teeter down the red brick sidewalk of Main Street in Southampton in my six-inch, leopard fur, knee-high Christian Louboutin platform boots and not look ridiculous. The solution? Certain shoes will remain waiting for their mistress in my NYC apartment shoe closet [pictured below], and an edited selection will live in my Water Mill farmhouse.
