Celebrity caterer Peter Callahan traditionally serves Cranberry-tinis on Thanksgiving Day, [with or without vodka] as a signature seasonal beverage.

PETER is the owner of New York City based Callahan Catering and is widely credited with having created the megatrend of miniaturized savory and dessert hors d’oeuvres. He has been catering to the stars for more than twenty-five years.

To wet your appetite, KDH asked him to share his signature drink recipe with us so we can serve it tomorrow. They are so easy to make:

Mix fresh-pressed cranberries, rather than store bought cranberry juice cocktail.  This is the secret ingredient! Mixed with a small splash of lime-infused simple syrup, your favorite vodka, shake & pour over ice, it’s a party favorite!

Peter reaches into his china cabinet and pulls out his fine crystal glasses or martini glasses and garnishes with whole cranberries on swizzle sticks. Which, by the way, is a fun project for the kids earlier in the day. A bowl of cranberries and some swizzles, and they’re entertained for at least a half hour!
