One of the many great things about living in the Hamptons is that you constantly meet new, interesting, fun, and fabulous people who have fallen in love with our laid back lifestyle. This week, we get to know fashion model and aspiring mogul Teresa Moore in this NEW KDHamptons Diary below:

KDHamptons: How long have you been coming to the Hamptons? Why do you love it so much?

Teresa Moore: I am originally from Tonga and New Zealand, so the beach has always been an important part of my life. Since I moved to New York as a model years ago, I have gone out to the Hamptons every summer and enjoyed the beach, parties and restaurants which is a great escape in the summer months. I love how quaint each little town is from chic East Hampton to young and hip Montauk.

KDHamptons: Please describe your new food and fashion blog for our readers..

Teresa: TeresaTastes.com is about Where to Eat and What to Wear, combining food and fashion (a passion for all of us) and setting the scene on where to go have great food, a fun time and what you and other people are wearing. I love trying classic restaurants and classic designers and mixing it up with new chefs and new designers. There’s also great articles on health and beauty and travel which has some hot tips from fashion models and secrets from inside the fashion industry. KDHamptons: Personal style: do you have a Hamptons look? Which designer do you wear the most out East?

Teresa: My personal style is sexy boho chic. I like clothing that fits well and flatters my figure and love designers like Chloe, Bottega Veneta and Ralph Lauren and easy affordable items (who cares if you get sunscreen on it) from Zara or H&M.

KDHamptons: What is your favorite Hamptons restaurant, got a favorite dish & drink you get every time?

Teresa: I love Trata in Water Mill. Greek cuisine and Seafood always reminds me of summer at the beach and they have a beautiful display of fresh fish and shellfish on ice. I always get the octopus paired with a lovely White Burgundy.

KDHamptons: Describe your perfect Hamptons day in detail?

Teresa: Sleep in till around 10am. Run to the beach and have a quick swim in the ocean. Go get a fresh green juice then go home and shower. Maybe a pre-noon suntan for an hour, then decide where to go have lunch, either at the Clam Bar or Gosmans. Chill out with a cool scene at Crows Nest. Then either a walk around town or relax on the beach. Go home, shower and wear something white or colorful and wedges for a garden party. Dose up on perfume. An evening glass of wine and lawn BBQ at a friends home and sit outside in nature chatting and dancing the night away. Beautiful.

KDHamptons: Do you like to entertain at home? Who cooks? Got a “go-to” dinner plan?

Teresa: I love entertaining and dining out and we mix it up when we go to the Hamptons for the weekend. We have done nice BBQs with fresh salads, grilled veggies, burgers, shrimp and steak with chimichurri sauce [psst! Just combine garlic, salt, fresh chopped parsley, lemon juice and olive oil]. As long as you have great ingredients, it’s easy simple preparation. Plus a little truffle oil, flaky sea salt and fresh herbs does a lot of magic.

KDHamptons: What is your little secret about the Hamptons?

Teresa: I love the wharf up at Gosman’s dock in the north of Montauk. You can see the fishermen bringing in the fresh fish and filleting it at the docks. There are several small restaurants there that have great oysters and little neck clams and its away from the trendy scene which is refreshing once in a while.

KDHamptons: Please describe your Hamptons home and decorating style?

Teresa: We don’t have a Hamptons home yet, but when we do, I am totally doing Christian Liagre design for the bones with minimalist but earthy finishes in neutral whites and taupes, and then bringing touches of the South Pacific with wood carvings, tapas [painted banana fibre cloth], gorgeous Tibetan doors and some major statement pieces and art from the shops in Sag Harbor.

KDHamptons: If you could invite three people to your Hamptons home for dinner, whom would you choose?

Teresa: My father, my fiancé and Beyonce! Haha maybe not all at the same time!

KDHamptons: Where can our readers find you on social media?
