It’s National Tequila Day! To celebrate, KDHamptons chats with Max Blank (top left) of Casamigos to get the scoop on where to raise a toast this summer on the East End. Max shares, “Montauk is my favorite place to be in the summer.  Each day I visit as many Casamigos accounts as possible throughout the Hamptons. Every day is different which makes my job so much fun: finding new accounts, growing our business, meeting new people…and in my off-time I try to squeeze in a round of golf at the Montauk Downs. The new Casamigos Mezcal has been wildly popular this summer, and has definitely been the most popular hostess gift I’ve seen at Hamptons parties.”

KDHamptons met Max five years ago when Casamigos launched in the Hamptons. Tequila has been the rage ever since. Everyone loves Casamigos and it’s my personal favorite to serve at all my parties. We asked Max to share alist of his favorite summer recipes and where you can sip them in the Hamptons, below.

Top down: Casamigos Rep, muddled orange, muddled lime, splash of soda, agave
Casamigos new moon: Casamigos blanco, pineapple, blue curaçao, coco Lopez.

Paloma Reposado: Casamigos repo, grapefruit juice, simple syrup, top with soda

Shack Signature Margarita: Casamigos blanco, Cointreau, lime, OJ, splash of seltzer

Casa margarita: Casamigos blanco, Cold press watermelon juice, Fresh lime

Calissa in Water Mill
Lyra Recipe
1.5 oz. Casamigos Blanco
2 oz. grapefruit juice
.5 oz bitter lime syrup
4 dashes arbol chili tincture
Lime wheel garnish

Bitter Lime Syrup
4 oz. fresh lime juice
2 chopped whole limes
8 oz. granulated sugar
Blend, rest for an hour and strain.

Arbol Chili Tincture
12 dried arbol chilies
6 oz. Casamigos Blanco
Blend in a blender, simmer for 15 minutes and strain.
