Memorial Day weekend is almost here, and along with it will be a chic array of new businesses hitting the Hamptons. One buzz worthy newcomer is Miami based vintage retailer, Morphew, who will be opening its second flagship boutique in Southampton. MORPHEW WORLD is a high-end fashion, art and lifestyle brand–founded by Jason Lyon and Bridgette Morphew–offering high-quality, beautiful pieces and rarest luxury vintage selections from around the globe. KDHamptons has all of the fabulous details below…

Morphew is well known for carrying a curated selection of designer labels–from 60s Dior to rare finds by Alaia. The brand opened its first store in Miami last year, inside The Faena Hotel, and has established itself as the go-to place for vintage fashion and eclectic homewares as well as furnishings. The new Southampton location has a stunning 2,000 square foot light-flooded store and  will carry vintage fashion from designers, including: YSL, Dior, Valentino, Vicky Tiel, Prada, Armani, Giorgio Sant Angelo, Lilly Pulitzer, Gucci, Cavalli, Ungaro, Lacroix, Halston, Celine, Chloe, Donna Karan, Issey Miyake, Yohji Yammamoto, Kansai Yammamoto, Byblos, Kenzo, Alaia, Mugler, Versace and Oscar de la Renta.

Founder, Bridgette Morphew, and Creative Director, Jason Lyon.

In addition to the stores large collection of designers, they will also carry their own Morphew Collection label with a Hamptons ‘edit’ of breezy scarf dresses and kimono kaftans. The boutique will entail an entire wall dedicated to ‘summer whites’, organic cotton pieces from the Victorian era, as well as 1930s slip dresses and Morphew Atelier antique lace dresses. The boutique will  house some pieces exclusive to the Hampton’s boutique, including Morphew’s new plaid silk taffeta wrap gowns and play dresses in a sherbet array of colors.

Morphew will debut a collection of table cloth dresses made from Grandma’s old linens that were sourced from France and hand embroidered; perfect from the beach to brunch. At the boutique you will also find a range of new scents from the brands’ candle line that are uniquely sold in antique English tea cups. For men, there will be great vintage pieces such as Victorian shirts, ’20s linens, ’40s Hawaiian-print shirts, rat pack-era smoking jackets and groovy pieces from the ‘70s.

The creative director of Morphew, Jason Lyon, says “Long Island is in our DNA  so the opening of our store in Southampton is long overdue. We looked deep into the core values and vibes of this storied community and have put our own spin on the aesthetics of the space.”  The 70s-era furniture, Victorian accents, hardwood floors and racks built into the rooms’ wallpaper-covered arches draw upon Jason’s nostalgia gene with a nod to his own familial history with Long Island, in particular, his Grandmother’s 1980s rec-room. “Our goal is to morph this casual luxury beachside aesthetic with the sexy maximalism Morphew is known for.  We’ve designed the store to be a hub, a happening, a cool place for the kids to hang out and play dress up while the adults sip their cocktails upstairs.”
