Calling all dog lovers! Come to Yappy Hour, a benefit for the Southampton Animal Shelter and the Southampton Historical Museum. On Saturday, August 23rd from 4-6 pm, guests can sip on a Barkatini, a Doggy Daiquiri, or a Wagging Watermelon made with Caliche Rum, and Puppy Love punch will be served for the kids with Captains Neck flavored sparkling waters. Feast on some “yummy yappetizers” from local Hamptons restaurants at the beautiful museum grounds of  the Rogers Mansion located at 17 Meetinghouse Lane in the Village of Southampton. Performing at the party will be 12 year old opera “phenom” Sara Stevens, who will delight guests with her angelic voice.

BYOD! That’s bring your own dog and enter the beach themed costume contest with fabulous prizes. Celebrity judges are actress & former James Bond girl, Rachel Grant, Mayor Mark Epley and his wife Marianne. Don’t have a dog? The Southampton Animal Shelter will be there with some of our available dogs for adoption.

There will be an agility & training demonstration, a 50/50 raffle and music by sax player, John Ludlow. There’s fun for everyone & kids under 14 are free!  Tickets are just $25.00. KDHamptons readers, meet Bonnie & Kato, below. These two adorable rescue pups recently met at the Southampton Animal Shelter and became fast friends. They do everything together in playgroup! Bonnie is a Lab mix at about 5 years old and is very social with other dogs and humans. Kato is an energetic & handsome boy at just under 2 years of age.

Over the past three years, KDHamptons has helped aid in the adoption of many dutiful dogs and compassionate cats at the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF). ​Adopt the dogs this month and receive 50% off their adoption fee.
