KDHamptons Recipe: Yummy, Easy Yorkshire Pudding

SHARE

Yorkshire Pudding has been one of my TOP THREE favorite comfort foods since I was a little girl. Yorkshire pudding is a common English side dish consisting of a baked pudding made from batter consisting of eggs, flour, and milk. What could be better than a warm bite of cheesy, salty pudding with butter and sea salt. Yum!  And guess what? It’s super easy to make. Try this recipe over the weekend.

Ingredients

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 eggs

3/4 cup milk (room temperature)

1/4 cup melted butter

1/4 fresh grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Sift together the flour and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until foamy. Stir in the dry ingredients a bit at a time just until incorporated. Butter a 9-inch pie dish, or square baking dish. Put the pan in oven and get the butter smoking hot. Carefully remove pan out of the oven, pour in the batter, sprinkle the parmesan on top, and return the dish back in oven.  Bake until puffed and dry, 15 to 20 minutes.
