New York and Bridgehampton based artist Stephanie Hirsch debuted her first solo exhibition, TRANSFORMATION, on March 20th in Los Angeles at De Re Gallery.  The exhibition drew in an eclectic crowd of art collectors, VIP guests and Hollywood talent.  Among the established guests were: Terrell Owens of The Celebrity Apprentice, Karina Smirnoff of Dancing With The Stars, and Mary Ta, owner of Minotti’s LA showroom.

TRANSFORMATION is a continuation of Stephanie’s internal quest to break free from the falsities of the ego and a fear-based limited life. Alongside her mixed media signature style of beads, embroidery and powerful text, Hirsch uses the metamorphic image of the butterfly as her canvas.  Her mission?  To “reveal that with time, self-improvement and commitment you can evolve into the person you are meant to be,” shares the artist.

Adding, “Just like a caterpillar, must go through several growth and development changes before it can become a butterfly, so too must we go through several often painful life experiences before we attain true purpose and inner peace in our lives.  Spending time and creating art in the Hamptons inspires me — I love the East End for its natural beauty, long days, endless beaches and slower pace.”

Stephanie’s work has been acquired by many prominent collectors, and she was recently commissioned to create a unique commemorative crown for display in Harrods, London to celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.  The Crown used over 1,000 Swarovski crystals, which were individually applied.  Hirsch has recently been granted residency with PS3 through Art the production Fund at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.
