KDHamptons Feast End: The Cuddy Restaurant Brings Comfort Cuisine To Sag Harbor!

SHARE

A “cuddy” is a small cabin in a boat, and also the name of the hottest new restaurant in Sag Harbor! The Cuddy transforms traditional chicken and waffles, grits, and grilled cheese into upscale gourmet Hamptons cuisine. The atmosphere is rustic, nautical, and cozy.  The American gastropub opened in April and serves local organic produce, and their meats and fish are ethically raised and sustainably farmed. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner are served all year round.

Here are a few of our favorite mouth watering picks from the dinner menu…

Lobster Roll with Shaved Fennel, Avocado, Orange, Shallot, Citrus Vinaigrette, and Brioche

Boneless Quail Body Wrapped in House Cured Bacon

Softshell Crab with Apple Jicama Kimchi

Pan Seared Sea Scallops with Jansal Valley grits, Yellow Curry, Frisée, Tomato Jam, House Cured Bacon

Head to the Cuddy for breakfast or brunch!

Lobster Benedict with Lemon Miso and English Muffin is their best seller on the brunch menu

Brioche French Toast, Brûlée banana, Maple Syrup, and Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

Saddle up to the rustic wooden bar run by Derek Nielsen, who makes homemade maraschino cherries for the drinks and will start aging Negroni’s next week.  Derek mixes all the ingredients in a smoked bourbon barrel with aged oak staves right at the bar!  We love the hand-crafted beverages, but they also have five local draft beers, available seasonally.
