Following the success of their summer pop-up in neighboring Southampton, Figue—the bohemian lifestyle collection founded by Stephanie von Watzdorf—will open a full-time location at 55 Main Street in East Hampton this April 2015.  “After two summers on Jobs Lane, we feel completely at home in the Hamptons and are excited to explore a new neighborhood,” says Stephanie. “Figue has a resort-spirit and global aesthetic that vibes with the Hamptons’ gypset crowd.  We are looking forward to sharing the Figue love in East Hampton.”

Just in time for spring/summer 2015 [preview above], the new Figue boutique will showcase an array of sunny ready-to-wear—such as hand-embroidered kaftans, tunics, and dresses in colorful, worldly prints and the brand’s signature one-of-a-kind, hand-embellished military jackets. A curated assortment of limited-edition objets trouvés (found objects), give-back items (including totes and pouches to benefit wildlife conservancy), and handpicked lifestyle products round out the experience of discovery.

Designed and decorated by Stephanie herself, the 300-square foot store interior will convey Figue’s unique vision, incorporating a mix of global elements like Moorish arches and filigree lanterns. “Think British Raj/Moroccan beach house” explains Stephanie.  Figue launched online October 2012 and is currently available at Figue.com. The first Figue boutique opened September 2013 and is located at 268 Elizabeth Street in Manhattan’s NoLiTa.
