Sooooo…..KDHamptons thinks who better to ask than Samantha for a list of “TOP TEN SUMMER MUST-HAVES” than this Haute Hamptonite???

1. A WIDE BRIM STRAW HAT: “Nothing is more important in the summer sun,
except SPF of course, than a big straw hat to protect my skin and look
absolutely chic at the same time. I feel perfectly retro and stylish
sitting in the sand at Mecox Beach in this navy Rag & Bone topper.”

2. EARTHY, EDGY JEWELRY: I love selecting my baubles for the day,
especially in the summer when raw, earthy tones are a must. I’m partial
to my snake collection for Jennifer Miller Jewelry. Right now, I’m
obsessed with the diamond snake and moonstone teardrop earrings.

3. SHISEIDO REFRESHING SUN PROTECTION SPRAY WITH SPF: This is a productthat is always in my beach bag. It is for the body and hair so it protects skin, scalp and prevents color fading. With just a fewspritzes, I can be outside all day long, it’s perfect for outdoor events like Super Saturday!

4. COLORFUL BEACH TOTE: “I carry my life in my bag, from snacks for my daughter, Sadie, to pages of the magazine to look over and journals filled with sketches, ideas and calendar appointments, so I needsomething big, strong and eye catching. I love Jadetribe’s exclusiveElizabeth shoulder bag. It’s hand embroidered and one of a kind, plusJadetribe employs women in Laos to make the bags, creating jobs and a powerful message!”

5. SILK DRESSES: “A sleek dress is #superlux in any color, but an
energetic fuschia, kimono dress from Marni packs a major pop. I stop
into my friend Gail Rothwell’s shop in East Hampton for a curated
experience of the season’s top looks.”

6. IKAT TABLEWARE: “I love ikat anything, this summer the new C. Wonder
pop-up in Southampton has the most fantastic colorful ikat dinnerware.
In green, coral, chocolate or navy, they have the best items to use for
dinner alfresco or to give as a fabulous hostess gift.”

*C. Wonder, 5 Main St., Southampton; cwonder.com.

7. PYTHON ESPADRILLES: “No one does these magnificent shoes like Devi
Kroell. They are a must, must, must- season after season. It’s not
summer unless I have my espadrilles.”

*Devi Kroell, 23 Main St., East Hampton; devikroell.com.

8. MOMMY AND DAUGHTER COVER UPS: “My daughter Sadie and I love Roberta Roller Rabbit for their fun, exotic prints like the pink elephant Kurta. With leggings
or just over a bathing suit, Sadie loves to run around in hers and I
pick up my own plus great accessories in Roberta’s East and Southampton
shops.”

9. SUMMER WEIGHT WRAPS: I always bring a wrap out with me at night in
case it gets cool, BrunelloCucinelli linen and cashmere scarves are
gorgeous, not to mention impeccably neutral, they go with everything!

10. OVERSIZED SUNNIES: I have hundreds of pairs of sunglasses in all
shapes and colors. The latest addition to my collection is a pair of
David Yurman tortoise cat eye frames. They have a gradient lens and have
100% UVA/UVB protection. They are divine, definitely high priority in
the rotation now!
