Grindstone Coffee & Donuts OPENS IN SAG HARBOR
Here’s some news to sweeten up your summer! Grindstone Coffee & Donuts has opened in the Hamptons. Located in the heart of Sag Harbor on Main Street, Grindstone serves coffee, fresh-pressed juices and brioche-style donuts, made fresh throughout the day with locally ground flour from Amber Waves Farm.
Owner and donut maestro Kyle Shanahan brings a lifetime of restaurant know-how to his first solo project having grown up learning the business from his mother and stepfather, restaurateurs Liz and Michael Symon. In the seaside shop, Shanahan and partner Anna Coffman, offer a rotating selection of classic, seasonal and whimsical donut flavors, such as blueberry lemon, chocolate with toffee popcorn and peanut butter mousse with chocolate. San Francisco-based Four Barrel Coffee is served, making Grindstone one of the only spots to find it on the East coast.
The space features a rotating wall of art displays by local artists and guests are welcome to enjoy coffee and donuts at the shop’s small standing bar, however Grindstone focuses on carry-out so customers can get their goods to go; perfect for breakfast, entertaining or dessert (or anytime, really!).
