The East Hampton Historical Society announces the return of the East Hampton Antiques Show to the grounds of the Mulford Farm on Saturday, July 22, through Sunday, July 23. Now in its eleventh year, the East Hampton Antiques Show is widely recognized as the premier antiques event on eastern Long Island and a highlight of the East Hampton arts and social calendar.

Interior Designer Tom Samet (above) is the Honorary Chairperson of the Friday, July 21 Preview Cocktail Party, which offers patrons an early buying opportunity of the extraordinary array of antiques, art, jewelry and collectibles. Ticket proceeds benefit the East Hampton Historical Society.

“From the first time I visited East Hampton as a teenager, I knew that this was a special place. The charm of the village and surrounding area is the same today as it was then thanks to the continuing work of our local organizations and societies. I still get the chills every time I turn from Woods Lane to Main Street and see the sun reflect off the town pond with the famous swans swimming and the history of the area in view in the background,” said Tom Samet.

Both the Preview Cocktail Party and the Antiques Show take place on the bucolic grounds of the Mulford Farm, located on James Lane in the heart of East Hampton Village. The 3.5-acre property features a restored 17th-century farmhouse as well as several barns and outbuildings that are among the oldest on Long Island. “The legacy of preservation by the East Hampton Historical Society is especially evident at Mulford Farm, the site of the 2017 East Hampton Antiques Show. I am honored to be chairing this year’s Antiques Show and invite everyone to attend the Preview Cocktail Party, benefiting the East Hampton Historical Society,” said Mr. Samet.

The focus of the show is on vintage decorative items for the home and garden. Classic rattan and bamboo furniture, lighting, textiles, architectural elements, American and European country decorated furniture, Art Deco and Moderne, garden ornaments, wrought-iron accessories, industrial items, paintings, trade signs, period jewelry, weathervanes, and mirrors will be for sale. “With a broad range of styles from classic to contemporary represented, there is truly something available for everyone to buy,” said Honorary Chairperson Samet.

Admission to the Antiques Show costs $10, with early buying at $20. Show hours are Saturday, July 22, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with an early buying hour at 9 a.m. On Sunday the show is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The show offers an on-site café by Bostwick’s & Debbie Geppert Events Catering Co. Enjoy light bites or a full meal with local flavor, there’s no need to take a break from shopping!
