One of our favorite fall events is coming up soon! The ARF Stroll to the Sea Dog Walk on Saturday, October 6th. The annual “Stroll to the Sea” Dog Walk is presented by The Corcoran Group will be held from 9 AM to 12 PM. The event, now in its 25th year, is a fun, family outing set amidst the beautiful Hamptons fall foliage with the feel of an idyllic country fair. It is intended to promote responsible dog ownership and awareness of ARF.

The two-mile walk to the ocean and back will begin and end at the historic Mulford Farm, owned by the East Hampton Historical Society in the heart of East Hampton Village. Dog walkers can register at support.arfhamptons.org/DogWalk. The pre-registration fee is $30 for adults ($40 day of the event) and FREE for children 13 and under with a registered adult. Registration brochures are also available at the ARF Adoption Center in East Hampton, the ARF Thrift Shop in Sagaponack as well as many local merchants.

All registrants receive free nail clippings for their dogs, free event tee shirt and tote bag and refreshments including Starbucks coffee, Dreesen’s Famous Donuts, dog treats and Boxed Water. This year’s tee shirt once again features artwork by designer ISAAC MIZRAHI.

The walk will be followed by contests such as DOG/COMPANION LOOK ALIKE, THE POOCH WHO CAN SMOOCH and STUPID PET TRICKS. A dog agility course will be set up for all to try out. Singer/songwriter Sandy Rapp will perform again this year, playing audience favorites on the guitar. A silent and Lucky #’s auction with many exciting products, services and experiences for owners and pets will be offered.

It’s easy to raise pledges by going to support.arfhamptons.org/DogWalk. Set up your own page or join a team. The prizes for top fundraisers include: two-night stay with breakfast at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, Georgia, seven nights of premium accommodations at the St. James’s Club Antigua, a four-and-a-half-star Elite Island Resort and a summer share for the 2019 season at Amber Waves Farm in Amagansett.
