Wouldn’t it be nice to enjoy the beautiful art, style, and design of all the cultures of the world without leaving the comfort of your home? KDHamptons is obsessed with the beautiful decor and interior design guidance available through Destination Haus. This home goods and interior decorating store represents over 20 artists from around the globe and continues to expand. The globally curated home decor pieces and art reflect a variety of styles including Beach Shore Style, African Influence, Moroccan Chic, New England Decor, Montauk Boheme or a Hamptons Haus Original. They offer an expansive variety of styles in order for shoppers + designers to curate their own personal destination.

Even sweeter, Destination Haus is a Mother/Daughter business, founded on the principle that the home and work place should be a reflection of one’s passion, style, and explorations. Destination Haus offers clients a wonderful shopping experience with curated finds from around the globe, designed to give your home an ambiance that is uniquely yours.

Laureen Vellante, the mom of the Mother/Daughter dream team, is the exclusive photographer at DH, taking photographs along the east coast that will be showcased for sale throughout the bungalow. For the past 15 years Laureen’s passion for rebuilding, redesigning, and reselling properties has resulted in the development of her own interior design style. She now applies her personal style to the clients at Destination Haus.

Kendra travels the world with an African conservation, wildlife safari company, fostering relationships with Destination Haus vendors along the way. Applying her knowledge of travel, culture, and art, Kendra heads the buying department. She has combined her passion for travel and wholesale, creating a showroom where one can shop items from their favorite destinations to create a beautiful, unique home.

Carlyn, the art director of DH works intimately with clients to curate their home/commercial space with the Destination Haus merchandise and the artists we represent. She is the bridge between the artist and the client. By coordinating these details creates the finishing details of their designed area. Together our assets blend together to create a unique style.

Founders Laureen Vellante & Kendra are both in-haus artists and founders of Destination Haus. In addition to Kendra & Laureen, Destination Haus represents about 18 artists from around the world, including a hand selected group of local artists.

Photographer Laureen Vellante creates impressionistic photographs that depict the ocean and surf culture with an abstract interpretation. She began as a photojournalist and approaches her oceanic subject matter by telling a visual story. Her compositions reflect the constant ever-changing life of the sea. Be it calm or ferocious, fluid or still, her photographs capture the power and fury of the water’s peaceful beauty. She has traveled up and down the East coast in all sorts of weather and different times of the day. Laureen draws inspiration from the sea, to which she is dedicated to give back and preserve.

Painter Kendra Vellante studied Fine Arts at Ohio Wesleyan University and Oil Painting at Richmond University in Florence, Italy. She paints on heavyweight linen taking a simplistic abstract approach to the human figure, always adding to her Untitled Nude Line series (Acrylic on both cold pressed paper and heavy weight linen).

Tabletop Dining Experience

Picnic and Table top service: The goal of Destination Haus is to create a unique dining experience for you. By incorporating the elements, curated textiles and color pallet, they can turn any occasion into a highly detailed, styled celebration using gorgeous elements hand selected from around the globe. They began these beautiful picnics in the Summer of 2020 to create intimate, yet socially distant COVID-19 safe experiences to ‘bring the magic’ back to the Hamptons. They wanted to support the service industry of the Hampton’s and partnered with local restaurants to pick up food from their restaurants and deliver it to the beach or private home for people to enjoy.

During these difficult times they gave people the opportunity to celebrate any occasion whether it be a birthday, engagement, anniversary, weddings or just a special experience. Every event they curate is customized with purpose and extremely detail, from the flower arrangements and serve ware to the environment and lighting surrounding the table to create a beautiful atmosphere.
