At this day in age, we have health and beauty advice coming from every which direction- cut this out, avoid this beauty product ingredient, and make sure you’re eating this kind of food every day. That’s why I was so glad to attend The Summer Sessions hosted by three inspiring women with no agenda other than to help women become informed about the truth. Follow them on instagram and check out their blogs!

Cayli Cavaco Reck from Knockout Beauty, Jena Covello from Agent Natuer, and Teresa Lawsky from The Laurus Project came together to share priceless beauty and wellness information at an intimate gathering at Madoo gardens. The talk was moderated by Cristina Cuomo from The Purist. The incredible thing about these four women is that rather than having an agenda, which is possible with a dermatologist, food company, or even doctor, these women all work for themselves, founding their own companies with the sole goal of helping women and people heal themselves naturally.

Cayli Cavaco Reck, always interested in beauty, started Knockout Beauty (above) after growing up with a mother who passed away from of breast cancer. Reck has set up her hands-on concept, Knockout Beauty, on the Upper East Side’s Lexington Avenue. She is the daughter of two New York fashion legends, her mother Kezia Keeble and father Paul Cavaco created what is now the global fashion pr powerhouse, KCD Worldwide. Paul has also worked with every major photographer and was a (and sometimes The) top fashion editor at VogueAllure and Harper’s Bazaar. Cayli was is extremely knowledgable and personable, as she got to know every person at the talk who raised their hand, understanding their habits and problems to help them. She focuses on natural and safe ingredients, and believes that beauty starts on the inside. Watch her nightly Instagram live chats, which she spends cleansing her skin and discussing her products. She show how kind, transparent, and real she is.

Teresa Lawsky, founder of The Laurus Project, is constantly in communication with the most prominent breast cancer researchers and doctors. Her goal is to arm women with information on how to prevent and control it. The project supports exceptional mission-aligned scientists, doctors, and programs in an effort to save and empower individuals affected by breast cancer. We deliver inspiring breast cancer risk-reduction education to women in communities through our outreach program. We support preeminent scientists and leading specialists in groundbreaking research projects that present a discernible path to translation in areas that can materially improve breast cancer treatment and survival. Jena Covello started her beauty line Agent Nateur from a single sku cult-favorite into a complete wellness and skincare company that is on track to be the #1 skincare company in the world. Holi (Stick) N3 was the brand’s first product; today Agent Nateur boasts skincare, beauty and body care. A must-have among celebrities, influencers and even other formulators – try Jena’s truly intoxicating Holi (Rose) N4, an uber-successful collab with Shiva Rose featuring Shiva’s trademark sandalwood and rose blend. Agent Nateur’s growth has come organically, as Jena created each product in her lineup to satisfy her own unmet need. Jean  suffers from two severe autoimmune diseases, and her own products been remedies for her own healing.

Every time Jean creates something for her and shares it with her loyal following, it becomes the next best thing. At this point, it would be easy for Jena to cash in and peace out, but she won’t. Instead, Jena is compelled to share what she’s learned and lived first hand, on a personal mission to help others. Just follow Agent Nateur’s blog or social media for a few weeks and you’ll experience her steady stream of health and wellness information. But be warned: Jena doesn’t pull any punches. She’s informed, opinionated and unafraid to stir up a little controversy if it means getting to the truth.
