On July 3, 2022, my team and I had the pleasure of designing some outdoor lounge and dining vignettes for an exclusive celebration of the Lux Magazine 2022 Hot List (yours truly was named Hottest Interior Designer!) at the Water Mill home of KDHamptons founder (and my dear friend) Kelli Delaney Kot. This serene garden party featured artisanal summer bites, cool cocktails, and a curated offering of summer’s greatest gifts–in short, it was truly the stuff of summer dreams!

Creating a Backyard Oasis–Hamptons Style

With the goal of creating a casually elegant setting that was equal parts refined, fresh, and comfortable, my Design Team and I crafted several summer party vignettes with Kelli’s breathtaking property and serene maple trees as our inspiration and backdrop.

We pulled so many must-have summer entertaining pieces from the Kathy Kuo Southampton store from some of my fave brands, like MATCH Pewter (shoutout to all the regular Kuotes readers who know how obsessed I am with pewter!), Juliska, Vietri, Arte Italica, Jaipur, and Oly Studio (just to name a few).

I am really just in awe–as usual–at what our Designers can accomplish and make it look easy-breezy. Once everything was in place, the look was a simply a garden party vision-board made real!
