“Home. It’s the place you long to be, or the place you can’t imagine leaving. No matter which, there’s no place like it,” shares Shelter Island resident, and former KDHamptons contributor, Hannah Berner [above], who shares her new role as Digital Marketing Manager for the trendy new tee brand, The Home T, which helps you show off your home state pride, stylishly.

KDHamptons: Tell us about The Home T and your role there?
Hannah Berner: I’m the digital marketing manager of The Home T, a lifestyle brand that celebrates the place you call home. We feature all 50 states + Long Island, and all of our apparel is made in the USA. What makes our company unique is that we donate 10% of profits to multiple sclerosis research. It is a disease of the nervous system that affects over 2.5 million people world wide, including many of our friends and family. There is currently no cure, so we put all our donations towards research. It is an amazing feeling to be part of a company that gives back to a greater cause.

KDHamptons: How are you getting the word out about The Home T?
Hannah Berner: We’ve had a lot of awesome publicity, including being featured on Shark Tank last year, press from publications like The New York Times and Forbes, and getting shout outs from Amy Schumer, Mila Kunis, Bryan Cranston, and other celebs! I manage all the social media (you can follow us on Instagram at @thehomet), publish blog posts, reach out to influencers, execute email marketing campaigns, and oversee our e-commerce site.

KDHamptons: You are a lifelong Hamptonite and still toggle time between NYC and Shelter Island.  Why is the East End so special to you?
Hannah Berner: I love that I am always 15 minutes away from the water, so I plan my day around when I can relax at the beach. I love that I can get all my fruits and vegetables from local farm stands, and playing tennis, golf, doing yoga on the beach, paddle boarding, and riding my  bike is a slice of heaven to me. There is always something to do at night, whether it’s an art gallery opening, new restaurant, or charity event.

KDHamptons: Any special spring Hamptons plans for you?
Hannah Berner: I actually just went on a mini Montauk vacation with my Mom to Gurney’s Inn! They have a really fun Spring Weekend Spa Package. We enjoyed massages, facials, and walking along the beach. I love this time of year in the Hamptons because it is so quiet and peaceful. It is also exciting to see which new restaurants, retail shops, or gyms are opening for summer!
