The United Cakes of America: Goldbelly Celebrates America's 250th at Wölffer Estate

This Fourth of July weekend, Goldbelly brought together history, hospitality, and unforgettable desserts for a one-of-a-kind celebration at the Wölffer Estate Wine Stand in Sagaponack, where guests gathered to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary with an exclusive tasting experience and United Cakes of America exhibition.

Set against the backdrop of one of the Hamptons’ most beloved vineyards, the private event invited attendees to sip Wölffer Estate’s acclaimed wines while sampling unique cakes inspired by the people, places, traditions, and flavors that define America. Each cake was crafted by a celebrated bakery from the Goldbelly marketplace, showcasing the creativity and regional diversity that have made America’s food culture so iconic. Live music filled the vineyard throughout the afternoon, while guests embraced the laid-back holiday atmosphere with classic lawn games like hacky sack, adding to the festive, all-American celebration.

The afternoon also featured remarks from Goldbelly Founder & CEO Joe Ariel, who was recently named the Official Food Curator of America’s 250th Anniversary. Ariel shared the inspiration behind the specially curated collection, which honors the country’s rich culinary heritage through desserts designed to tell uniquely American stories.

Blending exceptional wine, celebrated bakeries, and a shared appreciation for American tradition, Goldbelly’s Hamptons event served as a memorable kickoff to Independence Day weekend, while offering a delicious preview of the nationwide celebration leading up to America’s 250th anniversary.
