The Best-Loved Poems of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis
Sea Joy, a poem by Jacqueline Bouvier

KDH recently bought a pretty little book titled The Best-Loved Poems of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis as a gift for my sister, to read to her son as he gets older. Trouble is…I still haven’t handed over my keepsake because I love reading it too much! Selected and introduced by Caroline Kennedy, this bedside read “shares her mother’s favorite poems and the words behind her strong belief in the power of literature.”

The book includes great anecdotes and quotes from Jackie including, “Once you can express yourself, you can tell the world what you want from it. All the changes in the world, good or evil, were first brought about by word.”

This volume offers poems by Langston Hughes, Emily Dickinson, and Robert Frost. Also included are poems written by the legendary First Lady and illustrative photos of the gorgeous Kennedy clan.

Caroline, an accomplished author herself, and President of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, “offers reflective thoughts on her mom’s career and life offer an intimate view of Jackie’s world and a poignant glimpse into her heart.”

This is such a sweet little book, pick one up at BookHampton locations; $19.95
