Christmas is a very special holiday for the Wölffer family, who have joined together to decorate the Estate for decades during the holidays, spreading cheer and celebrating Joey and Marc’s father, Christian Wölffer’s, absolute favorite holiday. This year the famed Tasting Room has been dressed in yards of garland, glittering lights and 500+ ornaments to embody the spirit and nostalgia that the holidays bring to everyone. The Wölffer family invites local families to start their own tradition and celebrate the season at Wölffer estate.

To kick off the holiday season, the vineyards and winery were transformed into a festive winter wonderland with the 10th annual lighting of the Vines, which took place on Saturday December 7th. The 22 rows of vines behind the winery and trees surrounding the drive of the vineyard will be Illuminated by 1500 LED lights perfectly installed over 15 days.

Each year the Wölffer family celebrates alongside friends, family and local patrons, with great wine, food and music in the tasting room. When evening approaches and the sky turns dark the lights illuminate after a countdown creating a visual spectacle. This year the festive event  supported The Retreat, a local organization which provides domestic violence and sexual assault services on the east end of Long Island.

The tasting room will hold Holiday events throughout the month of December from festive flower arranging, live music and Wine tastings and Spirits events, onto the Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve celebrations.
