Water Mill Cupcake Company: Where The Sweet Meet!
Water Mill Cupcake Company (WMCC) has already churned out “tens of thousands of cupcakes”, but owners and cousins Ruth Balletta and Cindy Formica are looking forward to expanding their booming bakery!
Nearly three years ago, both bakers decided to move to their Hamptons homes full time, and open a cupcakery. “We experimented with cupcake recipes for a full year” in order to create the perfect confectionary concoction. Ruth’s dad was an old fashioned baker, and Cindy has a background in nutrition, so no hydrogenated oils or trans fats are used. Recipes only contain real butter and eggs. “We design most of our recipes around the fresh seasonal fruits from local farm stands.”
Owners and cousins, Ruth and Cindy attribute the success of Water Mill Cupcake Company to hard work and the fact that “cupcakes make people happy, because it reminds us of when we were kids.” All baking is done from scratch on premises, the old-fashioned way. Cindy shares, “we get to do what we love every day, where what we want, listen to music, and bake!”
