Vanessa Gordon Shares Her Favorite Hamptons Indulgences

The Hamptons are a treasure trove of local delicacies, unique wineries, and culinary experiences unlike anywhere else in the world.  Food & travel writer and Hamptons personality Vanessa Gordon shares her own tips and picks when navigating the Hamptons ever expanding “foodie” scene: Vanessa Gordon is a WBAZ Radio Personality, and publisher of East End Taste Magazine. Gordon lives in Sag Harbor, NY with her husband and two small children.

For Breakfast

Poppyseed Bagel, Goldberg’s Bagels, Wainscott: Almost anything from Goldberg’s Bagels. I grab some local fish from the Seafood Shop next door and some wine for the weekend. I get in line for bagels at 6am, even on the weekends. I am very ambitious about my bagels. If I am feeling extra naughty, I grab 3-4 Levain Bakery cookies. We devour them poolside, no regrets.”

Brunch

Isabelle’s Request, Estia’s Little Kitchen, Sag Harbor: “I love the Tuscan Toast with goat cheese, plenty of fresh veggies, and two poached eggs really hits the spot. I always try to order mine with a side of chocolate chip pancakes. It fills me up for the day and I burn it off with a long sunset paddleboard on Long Beach.”

Lunch

Lobster Roll, Hooked, Montauk: “One of if not the best Lobster Roll in Montauk. We, my family and I, love to grab ours to go and head right to the beach. Order with their Kick’n Crab & Corn Chowder or Hooked House Salad. Picnic tables are also available outside the restaurant.”

Afternoon Snack

Green Vibrance Smoothie, Provisions, Sag Harbor: “If I am not at Juice Press, I usually will swing by Provisions in Sag Harbor and grab a smoothie, one of my favorites being the Green Vibrance. It’s fast, healthy, and satisfying. I follow it up with a long walk around Sag Harbor and do a little shopping.”

Dinner

Sushi at Yama Q, Bridgehampton: “I tend to eat light for dinner. If I am not at a BBQ or beach cookout, I eat sushi or dumplings with a side salad. If it is a little chilly, I will get a glass of hot sake.”

Drinks

Channing Daughters, Bridgehampton: “Channing Daughters for a wine tasting. It is out of the way and so private. I will bring home some bottles of wine for guests when they arrive.”

Dessert

Buddhaberry, Sag Harbor: “Buddhaberry is my all-time favorite spot, and has been for over five years. I always get a vanilla based frozen yogurt with chocolate ‘fudgy’ quinoa, chia seeds, and cookie dough. It is also my daughter’s favorite place to go after camp.”

Vanessa will be hosting the 2nd Annual Hamptons Interactive Brunch on July 20th, 2019 at The Maidstone, where you can enjoy more of her favorite Hamptons vendors, treats, and fashion.
