KDHamptons:How long have you been living in the Hamptons? Why do you love it so much?
Tisha Collette: I moved to the Hamptons in 1998, two years prior to my first boutique opening. My passion for making the Hamptons my year round home is simple: I love the best of both worlds! Nature with fine dining, surfing with diamonds, designer shopping with family picnics, it’s at my fingertips…

KDH: Describe your brand: when you launched your first store, and where you are at today.
TC: Collette is the largest and most successful designer consignment store in the Hamptons. For over a decade woman have enjoyed a stylish assortment of high end ready-to-wear and limited edition accessories. With a strong commitment to ambiance, client service, and professionalism Collette offers the very best of New York and the beach. I opened my store in 2000 on Jobs Lane in Southampton. I now have three consignment stores in Southampton (two designer, one home), one in Sag Harbor, and will be opening in New York on Madison Avenue this coming July!

KDH: You have myriad designers to choose from! Describe your personal style?
TC: My go-to designers are Pucci, Stella McCartney, Missoni, and Prada. My typical outfit or “Hamptons Uniform” if you will, would be a M Missoni Caftan dress with metallic Prada wedges accented with a Vintage Chanel Clutch….or a Catherine Malandrino Maxi Dress with a California Sun Hat a pair of Stuart Weitzman Sandals and a Prada tote.

KDH: What is the greatest part about your job? Conversely, if you could snap your fingers and instantly have another career what would be your dream job?
TC: The greatest part about my job is conquering my fears and obstacles regarding the growth of my business. I am very proud of my boutiques, staff, and consignors. I am a risk taker and although fearful at times, I enjoy all the hard work! Right now, I would not change a thing however running off to the Caribbean and opening a little boutique hotel has always been a dream.

KDH: Tell us about the Collette home store?
TC: The new Home Consignment store is an eclectic mix of antique and modern furnishings. Tucked away is a lavish assortment of men’s designer clothing and accessories.

KDH: If you could dress any celebrity one of your amazing vintage looks from Collette, who would you choose?
TC: If I could dress any celebrity in one of my amazing vintage looks it would be Nicole Kidman in one of my Chanel Gowns in Southampton or Katy Perry in vintage Pucci from my Sag Harbor boutique.

KDH: What is your favorite Hamptons restaurant, got a favorite dish and drink you get every time?
TC: My favorite place to dine is Tutto il Giorno, a cute little Italian restaurant in both Southampton and Sag Habor. My favorite dish from there is the Buratta and my standard drink is a Club Soda with bitters and lime – refreshing and non-alcoholic.

KDH: Please describe your perfect Hamptons day in detail?
TC: My perfect Hamptons day is spent with friends and family. First a quick stop into my office and boutiques, then a great walk on the beach with my children. Delicious food with good company and a little late night dancing is always fun.

KDH: How do you “do-it-all”?
TC: How do I do it all? Delegation and positivity!
