David will be giving his Midas touch to the old Oasis restaurant, and turn it into the Anchor.

Hey hungry Hamptonites….We have some Breaking Restaurant News!

The Anchor will be the latest venture by The Beacon co-owners restaurateur David Loewenberg and executive chef Sam McCleland.

David has taken over the old Oasis restaurant on Noyac Road for his latest venture will be inspired by the maritime history of Sag Harbor and its waterfront view of Mill Creek Marina, the new year-round seafood restaurant with a New American spirit will open in May~ YAY!

Topping the surf-centric menu of lobster- whole and in rolls, shellfish plateaus and fishes of the day will be turf favorites including steaks and chops in the signature style of Loewenberg and McCleland.

Decorated by Sarah Loewenberg, the airy dining room will be elegantly dressed in shades of white with sea-green-blue color wave accents, plank flooring, wooden tables large enough for hearty-style lobster eating and seating both banquette and café style. Sounds chic yet cozy. Thumbs up!

David Loewenberg is regarded as one of the Hamptons’ top restaurateurs. He is co-owner with Sam McCleland of Sag Harbor’s The Anchor (opening 2012) and The Beacon (opened 1999); co-owner with Kirk Basnight of Southampton’s little|red (opened 2011) and red|bar brasserie (opened 1998); and co-owner with Michael Nolan of East Hampton’s Fresno (opened 2004).

In 2000 at The Beacon, Sam McCleland joined forces with his longtime friend David Loewenberg who he has known since the 1990s when they both worked at Nick and Toni’s and 95 School Street. Thirteen seasons later their friendship is still strong and The Beacon is more popular than ever. In 2012, the duo team up to own and operate another iconic waterfront establishment in Sag Harbor, The Anchor, located at 3253 Noyac Road, Sag Harbor.

At The Anchor, like at The Beacon, the familiar faces and trusted hands of the Loewnberg-McCleland partnership aim to deliver a mainstay on Hamptons dining scene. KDH is such a fan of this team and we can’t wait to experience the new anchor in their wheelhouse!

Congrats guys!
