SHARE

If your coffee table is missing a little glam, let me introduce you to the most gorgeous new book, and yes, it’s just as iconic as the jewelry featured inside. SYBIL AND DAVID YURMAN: Artists and Jewelers, from the legendary husband-and-wife duo, and longtime Hamptons locals!

David Yurman, Sybil Yurman

This stunning new release from Phaidon tells the full story of how their now-world-famous brand came to be. It’s a love story meets design diary, all wrapped in over 400 pages of dreamy imagery, behind-the-scenes moments, and major fashion history.

You probably know them for their signature Cable bracelet (launched in 1982 and still everything), but did you know David started as a sculptor and Sybil was a painter and ceramicist? The book’s visuals showcase the ways Sybil’s talents as a painter have influenced the colors and shapes of their collections, while the raw materials and welding processes of David’s sculptures have given form and movement.

Artistic collaboration has always been the lifeblood of the brand’s philosophy and identity, and this volume is filled with musings on some of the Yurmans’ most important partnerships, ranging from meeting the creative director David Lipman in the 1990s to collaborating with photographer Peter Lindbergh.

The book is filled with original sketches, family snapshots, and unforgettable campaign moments featuring icons like Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, and Gisele. It’s basically jewelry, art, and fashion’s coolest time capsule.

The book lets you feel the heart behind it all. The way Sybil and David blend their artistic visions, how they’ve stayed true to their roots while evolving through decades of style, it’s the kind of creative story that just feels Hamptons: soulful, refined, and beautifully timeless.
