The Surf Lodge Launches The Daily Dose Menu at Surf Lodge Café
Under the new leadership of Wellness Director Marisa Hochberg, The Surf Lodge will have a grab and go cafe which will be run by Tricia Williams, the amazing brains behind the health-minded food service “Food Matters NYC”. Tricia is an accomplished executive chef, nutrition educator and chef instructor. The culinary nutritionist founded Food Matters NYC in 2008 so that she could share her passion for fresh, whole, locally grown, organic, sustainable and delicious food. Over the last 15 years, Williams has left her mark on highly regarded Manhattan restaurants including The City Bakery, Home Restaurant, Isla and Olives, to name a few.
Tricia is very excited to be launching what she calls her target line of health food called Daily Dose. It is an affordable line of healthy grab and go food selections. Right now it is successfully being sold at healthy kiosks in seven Brooklyn Roasting Companies, and soon it will be launching in Clean Market. Beginning in June, Daily Dose will be available at The Surf Lodge cafe Friday – Monday from 7:30am – 2:30pm. In July and August it will be available 7 days a week from 7:30am – 2:30pm.
The Daily Dose menu for The Surf Lodge café features a “hero ingredient”. For example, the chocolate banana chia pudding contains cordyceps mushroom, which is an adaptagen that helps the body process stress, etc. The signature best-selling items are the beauty collagen coconut yogurt, turmeric hard-boiled eggs, and the nut milk white chocolate bar with pea protein. Hip health-minded individuals will make The Surf Lodge cafe their go-to spot this summer in Montauk when looking for something easy and healthy to eat.
