Commenting, Robert Chaloner says, “This community continues to amaze me with its support.  During the peak of COVID-19, the generosity of everyone in this community was instrumental to the excellent outcomes we were able to achieveOur Emergency Department is busier in July and August than some in New York City, and now we are close to our fundraising goal to be able to build a new freestanding Emergency Department out in East Hampton, to ensure everyone has fast access to the highest quality of care… The summer party is our most important fundraising event of the year.  It is also a wonderful opportunity to come together and enjoy some well-deserved fun, while making a positive impact in the community.  I am grateful to everyone who participates and I look forward to thanking them at the patron party and on the virtual toast.”

Donors will also receive a link to join the rest of the guests for a virtual toast on Zoom at 6:30pm hosted by Robert Chaloner.

As SBSH looks to recover from the impact of COVID-19, proceeds from the Annual Summer Party go to support the 24 x 7 x 365 Jenny & John Paulson Emergency Department, the only one on the South Fork.  Staffed by physicians, board certified in Emergency Medicine, it is the first on the East End to be verified as a Level III Trauma Center as verified by the American College of Surgeons and is open 24 x 7 x 365 days of the year. Donors can also choose to support the East Hampton Emergency Department.  So far, SHF has raised $31M of the $35M target.
