Paton Miller

Popular East End painter Paton Miller has a new crew of artists to share with us.   Miller is both an artist and curator for the fourth edition art show named, East End Collected4, showcasing later this month at the Southampton  Arts Center.  Miller says the show reflects his vision of this area as an ideal environment for artist to create and work.

“The East End provides artists with the freedom to remain meditative given the natural surroundings, while granting them the opportunity to receive feedback from an ever-growing artistic community,” said Miller.

Through this exhibition, Miller celebrates the community of artists, honors the collectors who have supported it, and marks Southampton Arts Center as a home where the East End arts scene can continue to thrive.

The show will be on view March 31 through May 20, at the Southampton Arts Center, located at 25 Jobs Lane, with an opening reception for the public on Saturday, March 31 from 5-7 PM.

Related programs include curator tours on April 8 and May 20 and an Artists Talk on April 29 with five of the exhibition artists who will present slides of their work, each followed by a brief Q&A with Miller. Additionally, Paton Miller will hold an exclusive drawing workshop for both kids and adults, and the Children’s Museum of the East End will conduct free mixed-media drop-in workshops. The exhibition will once again end with a celebratory concert with Mambo Loco on Saturday, May 19.
