The Salonniere, the nation’s leading website dedicated to the art of entertaining, joy of revelry, and power of parties. has announced the 2019 Salonniere 100 − a list of America’s 100 best party hosts…and I am so thrilled to have been included on the list.  Named for the women in 17th and 18th century France whose influential parties—called salons—shaped the world in a way that is still felt today.

Tabletop, floral design, and entertaining is a passion of mine in the Hamptons.

With this fourth installment of the annual list of exceptional party throwers, the 2019 Salonniere 100 spotlights honorees from 33 cities across the United States and represents a diverse and brilliantly creative group of people who share one common trait: an exceptional ability to leverage the power of parties to enhance the lives of others.

The Salonniere celebrates the vital role that parties, and party hosts play in our lives and communities. The Salonniere profiles great parties and party hosts present and past and offers chic and inspiring entertaining tips and ideas. Adding to the revelry are the vintage photo-and-quote mashups that introduce every feature story with a “cocktail” of wit. For more information, please visit www.thesalonniere.com.

“Social gatherings play a vital role in our lives and communities, whether to connect people, advance ideas, support causes, or promote joyfulness, and those who host them provide a great gift to humanity,” said Carla McDonald, the founder and editor in chief of The Salonniere. “The Salonniere 100 is our way of honoring the people in America who are the absolute best at hosting parties with passion and purpose.”

This year, Spanx entrepreneur Sara Blakely, party pro Derek Blasberg, and celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey and Jennifer Aniston, are among those who have been selected by Carla McDonald, The Salonniere’s founder and editor in chief, to join the esteemed list of people who host parties with extraordinary passion, purpose, and panache.

To determine the 2019 Salonniere 100, The Salonniere team spent six months surveying social authorities and local in-the-know experts, including journalists, philanthropists, not-for-profit fundraisers, social luminaries, event planners, and cultural and business leaders. Only cities with a sufficient number of nominees are included.  Listed alphabetically by city and by first name within each city.

Looking forward to another wonderful summer of entertaining in style. Thank you Salonnierre.
