KDHamptons: How long have you been coming to the Hamptons? Why do you love it so much? Do you come out all year round?

Rose Camille: My parents first brought my brothers and I to the Hamptons when I was seven years old, to visit my aunt & uncle. They own two homes in Southampton, one is grander than the other. The grander home is where we always stay. The first time I visited the Hamptons, I thought it was just another “boring” place to keep us away from all the fun in the city. However, as I got older, I realized how much I love being here. During summer, we would spend the weekends here. The Hamptons has everything: fine dining, chic boutiques, the beach, and it’s also the perfect escape from the loud and fast-paced environment of the city. Being in the city everyday, I tend to forget the beauty and serene atmosphere of REAL nature, and the Hamptons brings that to mind. My aunt and uncle’s home is sort of like in the center of the forest and just steps away from the beach. I can literally get naked outdoors and none of the neighbors would see me [By the way, I have never done that LOL]. But I do like to become one with nature. That’s why I love the Hamptons so much.

KDHamptons: Describe your Hamptons home, and decorating style?

Rose: The home is a mixture of classic, comfortable, and elegant. The walls are like 50 shades of cream, it’s safe to say my aunt and uncle fancy neutral colors. There are splashes of lavish and ornate decors. What’s great about the home is it sets off a comfortable vibe the minute you enter and not as if you have to watch your every move and be terrified if you’re going to break something.

KDHamptons: Describe your perfect Hamptons day in detail?

Rose: I’m an early riser, and for me my morning must always start with a delicious breakfast. I’ll usually have eggs benedict, a bowl of fresh fruit salad, and green tea. Breakfast is followed by a morning stroll by the beach, there is nothing quite like it. I’m usually outdoors at all times. If I’m not laying by the pool and getting lost in a book (I LOVE to read), I like to shop – I’ll visit boutiques, my first stop is always 25 Park. I’ll stop by one of my favorites, Sant Ambroeus, for coffee and desserts. After sunset, dinner will be set either indoors or outdoors – Filipino and American foods are serve. It’s a great opportunity to catch up with family and friends I don’t often see. Personally, dinner gets even better after a few sips of red wine.

KDHamptons: Please describe your fashion blog for our readers.

Rose: When I was 16, I created a blog called The Fashion Aficionado. It was all fashion, everything from style guide to the latest during fashion week [from New York to Paris Fashion Week]. However, now I have recently launched a new site called Elle Roca, which is a compilation of all things that inspire me in my daily life, from the craftsmanship of designers (Fashion & Maison et Décor), the style of an individual (Get to Know…), and the idea of living healthily within our inner and outer core (Well-Being). These are all a form of art & creativity that I want to share with everyone through Elle Roca, hoping it inspires them, as well.  www.ElleRoca.com

KDHamptons: Do you have a Hamptons “uniform”? Which designer do you wear the most in the Hamptons?

Rose: My Hamptons uniform is simplicity meets classic meets bohemian. I like the idea of mixing high and low fashion and I prefer to splurge on accessories. During daytime, I’ll wear a neutral colored maxi dress with bold accessories like my fuchsia YSL silk scarf and a pair of studded gladiators. For evening, I’ll most likely stay in the maxi dress but replace my silk scarf and gladiators to something more elegant, like my vintage DIOR gold earrings from my mother and a pair of Manolo Blahniks [my favorite shoe designer].

KDHamptons: What is your favorite Hamptons boutique?

Rose: My favorite Hamptons boutique is 25 Park. It’s a mixture of my style and I like that everything is wearable, liveable, comfortable, but very much stylish.

KDHamptons: You are a student at FIT, any desire to become a fashion designer? Who do you think has the ultimate style?

Rose: Being an FIT student, everyone assumes I’m going to be a fashion designer. I’m actually leaning towards the business side of fashion, I’m majoring in fashion merchandising management. Maybe someday I’ll add designer to my resume, who knows how my life will turn out years from today. I’m only 19, so for now, I’m focused on setting my stepping stones to becoming a successful buyer. My ultimate modern day style icon is Olivia Palermo. I adore her and her style, which is why I created the Olivia Palermo fan page on Instagram, JetadoreOP. Olivia can literally wear a garbage bag and she would still be on the best dressed list of every fashion magazine.

KDHamptons: What are two accessories we need RIGHT NOW?

Rose: Two accessories we all should have right now are over-the-knee boots and oversized clutch, both are on trend this season and will remain wardrobe staples. Stuart Weitzman’s The Highland Boot is the perfect pair of over-the-knee boots. It’s sexy without being too sexy. It can easily be worn from day (with denim) to evening (with a loose fit mini dress). The oversized clutch is big enough to fit all of our necessities for day and evening. Clare Vivier has great oversized clutch made with fine quality.

KDHamptons: What book are you reading right now?

Rose: Right now, I’m reading Tender is the Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I am a huge fan of Fitzgerald. I’m actually collecting all of his novels.
