Wake up to make-up, and set your sights on Nicole Bryl! Nicole is a highly esteemed New York native make-up artist, whose work can be seen from red carpet to royalty. Her creativity and attention to detail have her clients not just attending an event, but stealing the show. With inspiration stemming from Renior, Nicole Bryl turns make up in to master piece.

At 16, Bryl was in Paris trailing artists backstage at Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Christian Lacroix. Since then she has worked with faithful clients who keep coming back for more of her magical makeup. Melania Trump, Molly Sims, Queen Noor of Jordan, and even Johnny Depp have been beautified by Bryl. “I like to emphasize the natural beauty of my clients and work to enhance the assets they already posses. Beauty is not just my job, it’s my life.”

KDH caught up with Nicole to get some tips on the perfect look for the Hamptons holiday season, and to sneak a peak on some of her latest behind-the-scenes snaps below!

KDHamptons:  Who has been your favorite famous face to work on and why?
Nicole Bryl: It is impossible for me to pin point exactly who my favorite famous face has been to work on because each and everyone of these extraordinary beauties have brought something unique and exceptional to my work. These woman are magnificent beauties of the WORLD. They are genetically profound in every way and I am awed by every one of their exceptional physical attributes ever single time I do their makeup. Deeper yet, my clients have a genuine heart and soul, followed off with massive amounts of compassion. I am continually inspired by what they are involved with philanthropically and how they conduct and manage their personal lives. To me this is what turns them into wonder woman!

KDH:  What do you think is the perfect “face” for a holiday party in the Hamptons?
NB: The perfect “face” of the Hamptons is ALWAYS about gorgeous, clean, flawless skin no matter what season it is! For the perfect holiday face, I’d say add an extra pop of color on cheeks with your favorite cream blush and a touch more of a bright lipstick shade or gloss shade or both on lips for an all over subtle holiday vibe. It’s all about subtly in the Hamptons and adding a touch more of a bright color can create a fall/winter atmosphere without turning it into a face that’s overdone. KDH:  Who looks best in a red lip? who should not try it? who makes the perfect red shade?
NB:  One rule about red lips, if you are daring enough to wear a red lip you should then go very light on your eye makeup. Unless you are a performer making a creative statement for an event, do not have a strong eye AND a strong lip! There are so many variations of the “red” lip anyone can wear it. Some ladies like a solid bright matte red lip creating a period-esque statement much like the ladies of the 40’s & 50’s. Others, a casual red lip stain or sheer red gloss for a tiny pop of color to brighten the face. There are numerous shades of red and red lip textures,  you just need to play and find the one best suited for your specific skin color and mood. Hamptons ladies I would suggest you try Clinique’s New Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Color Balm! It’s super nourishing during these colder months and adds just the right amount of red to your lips with out going to far! http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P279113

KDH:  Evening purses are typically so small! What are the 3 things we should always keep in our purse?

NB: 1. One Cle de Peau powder puff that has a swipe of your favorite powder on it. Please, do not forget to wrap the puff in a tissue so you don’t dirty your purse, as well it holds powder in place on the puff. This way if you shine at your event you can touch yourself up easily. Cle de peau has the softest puffs and do not leave skin cakey!

2. Buy your favorite lipliner and break it in half, this way when you have limited space in your purse you have a shorter version of your best liner color to pop in your bag! If breaking your liner in half seems a bit too strenuous for you, try saving all your favorite liners that you have sharpened down to the point where you need to buy a fresh one and use the little remainders ONLY for evenings out with a small purse.
3. Gloss of choice or eyeliner of choice if your eyeliner tends to smudge off easily throughout the night!

KDH:  Share a tip for keeping skin looking radiant in the chilly fall Hamptons weather?
NB: The contrasting temperatures of heat and chill your skin experiences this time of year can often eliminate a tremendous amount of moisture from your skin. Remember to hydrate from the inside out by drinking extra water, cutting back on caffeine and alcohol or if this is not a possibility for you, drink one glass of water for every caffeine or alcoholic beverage you consume. Also, exfoliate more regularly and then follow up immediately with a more hydrating face cream.

Here are a few of my favorite must-have products to remedy dry, cracked skin:
*Earthen InstantPeel – (used in shower or bath once every 10 days to exfoliate dead skin on face and neck). http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002D4H6FS/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_img

*Blue Lagoon Icelandic Silica Mud Mask – (a hydrating mask that zaps impurities while hydrating the face and body). http://www.bluelagoon.com/Shop/product/28/530/Silica-mud-mask/default.aspx

*Blue Lagoon Icelandic Mineral moisturizing Cream – (to use after exfoliation or hydrating mask and also on a daily basis during the colder months. Great for face and body).

* Creme de la Mer Moisturizing Cream – (After you moisturize, activate a small amount of La Mer on your finger tips first by rubbing together your fingers then PRESS it onto the extra dry spots on your face).  http://www.cremedelamer.com/templates/products/spp.tmpl?CATEGORY_ID=CATEGORY5778&PRODUCT_ID=PROD2459

*Spray your face with rose water after every single time you moisturize and also throughout the day! This helps your skin to absorb all of the creams and really adds additional brilliance to your skin! My favorite brand is Heritage Rose Water: http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=319527&catid=274108&aid=338666&aparam=319527
