UnionDerm is New York’s premier dermatology and skin rejuvenation center featuring some of the top physician-trainers of cosmetic treatment techniques in the world, and providing outstanding medical care. UnionDerm is proud to encompass a shared aesthetic sensibility to achieve beautiful, natural results. Chapas new Hamptons location is no different, providing one of the most extensive cosmetic procedure offerings in all of Eastern Long Island across skin tightening, skin resurfacing, injectables and body contouring. “Patients would often ask if we would ever open an office Out East, and certainly through and post pandemic, geographics had shifted a bit as people’s priorities changed. We started to get more serious about it and then found the most perfect space to build out a state-of-the-art experience on par with what we have in the city. We are so excited to bring the care our patients know and love, along with our deep knowledge of and passion for dermatology and aesthetics, to the Hamptons!” – Anne Chapas, M.D., Founder and Medical Director, UnionDerm.

What makes UnionDerm unique? UnionDerm believes that cosmetic dermatology is an art as well as a science and their physicians are known for their ability to achieve natural results, without a look that reveals that cosmetic work was done. In some dermatology and cosmetic surgery practices, non-physicians inject patients or operate lasers and other energy devices to administer treatments. While this is legal in New York (where no certification is required to operate a laser), UnionDerm says they cannot condone this practice as they believe that even the best lasers and energy devices are only the tools. The results and the risk of complications depend on the skill and training of the person operating them. UnionDerm has a strong belief that the best results are achieved when the appropriate type and parameters of treatment are selected for each patient and adjusted as necessary throughout the procedure, and this requires the knowledge of the physiology of the skin and the functioning of the devices that comes from specialized medical training in laser devices that UnionDerm says nurses, medical assistants, and aestheticians do not have.

The Doctors and staff who were in attendance at the fabulous grand opening event were extremely kind and knowledgeable! I could not wait to get home and try out some of my Alastin products for myself.
