Hamptons Mom Heather McDowell Shares A New Way to Tickle Your Tykes....Tickle Water!

Tickle your tykes with the first healthy sparkling water for kids

If you’re like most Hamptons moms, you are always looking for ways to limit your little one’s sugar intake.  It’s not always easy, especially at birthday parties and events where unhealthy juice boxes are served, or even worse, soda. Tickle Water founder, and East Hampton resident, Heather McDowell faced the same issue and was finding it difficult to incorporate healthier (and more exciting) drinks into her son Jayger’s diet.  After many attempts, she finally let him sip her sparkling (“bubble”) water, and the rest is history.  He loved the tickling sensation, so the name stuck and Tickle Water was born.

Tickle Water is the first sparkling water for children, and comes in flavors such as green apple, watermelon, cola, and yes, sparkling water.  All are free of preservatives, GMOs, gluten, sodium, sugar, calories, and artificial sweeteners.  Finally a clean alternative to most other kids’ drinks.

Tickle Water Sparkling Watermelon Mint Lemonade

Ingredients:
8 fresh lemons – sliced in half (or more depending on your taste)
2 bunches of fresh mint – leaves removed, washed, and torn into pieces
Choice of natural sweetener, i.e., stevia, agave, or coconut palm syrup. (We used the coconut and stevia combination.)
4 cups of water
Ice
2 cans of Watermelon Tickle Water

Directions: Squeeze lemon juice into a big pitcher. Add the torn mint leaves. Add your sweetener of choice. Approximately 3 Tbs of Agave, or 10 drops of stevia. Start with a small amount of sweetener, as you can always add more if you prefer a sweeter lemonade.

Add the water and ice and stir. Pour lemonade into glasses and fill only 2/3 full. Finish off the lemonade with Watermelon Tickle Water on top to fill the glass…a delicious Sparkling Lemonade.
