Kicking back in Cabo: Prince Lorenzo Borghese reserves the royal treatment for pampering pooches.

If you treat your Hamptons hound like a king, then you probably know about the fabulous product line aptly named Royal Treatment! The Prince [yep~ he really is one], Founder & President behind the Royal Treatment bath & body products is Lorenzo Borghese, who creates the line from the finest organic ingredients, developed by top human cosmetics manufacturers, world-renowned veterinarians, and other pet experts from around the world.

Lorenzo recently returned from a fabulous trip to Mexico with a group of friends who ditched the cold winter weather for some sun, fun, and golf at the exclusive Chileno Bay Golf & Ocean Club. Isolated on the southern tip of Mexico’s 1,000-mile-long Baja Peninsula, the Chileno Bay Club is positioned along the Los Cabos “golden corridor,” which connects San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. QUE LINDO! Check out Lorenzo’s KDHamptons Travel Diary below:

KDHamptons: What did you love most about the Chileno Bay Golf & Ocean Club [CBC]?

Lorenzo Borghese: The resort is really a private community. You can only attend if you’re a member, or a guest of a member. The resort is very quiet. Between my group, and about 10-15 other guests,  we accounted for the entire CBC resort. It was a great place to relax – especially after a night in Cabo San Lucas at Cabo Wabo and El Squid Roe.

KDHamptons: What makes the Chileno Bay Club so special?

Lorenzo: The club includes a private beach, a private golf course, and a wonderful staff that’s always happy to see you [above]. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were included, as well as wine and margaritas.

KDHamptons: What was the most remarkable detail about your suite?

Lorenzo: As the resort is on a peninsula, each suite has a view of the ocean from ALL window angles. [below, Lorenzo’s girlfriend finds a perfect perch by the pool at their villa]

KDHamptons: What was your typical your day like at CBC?
Lorenzo: My day started at breakfast with breathtaking ocean views in which whales would appear constantly. After breakfast, we took the kayaks out to look for whales. Lunch was typically shared over the same amazing views. Some days we golfed, some days we hit the beach. Each night, dinner was served on a cliff at Chileno Bay, with a bonfire and blankets, under star-filled nights with waves crashing hundreds of feet below.

Thirst quencher: The 19th hole was a tequila hut.

Love this traveling Tiki Bar!

KDHamptons: Did you have a favorite meal?

Lorenzo: Actually my favorite meal was a simple quesadilla with cheese, chicken, fresh guacamole and served with a spicy margarita. Sounds boring, I know, but it isn’t when you’re actually in Mexico, rather than a themed Mexican restaurant in NYC!

KDHamptons: What were your three specific highlights of the trip?

Lorenzo: I actually have four:

1.  Evening dinners on the cliff:

2.  Golf – CBC boasts one of the coolest courses I’ve ever played. The pro shop was just a shack, and the 19th hole was a tequila hut. Access to the club was through a pad lock gate, miles of dirt road and then all of a sudden you see a little outdoor shack with a golf cart awaiting your arrival:

3.  My ATV ride through the desert, and then along the quiet beaches of the Pacific:

4.  A night out in town [below] at Cabo Wabo and El Squid Roe – to change things up a little bit and relive spring break!

KDHamptons: You are back in the real world now, what are you working on?

Lorenzo: I’m currently trying to make dogs feel better with my shampoos specifically formulated for their skin while I work raising money for my not-for-profit, Animal Aid USA in which we rescue an average of 100 dogs per month.
