Little Lucy’s of Southampton hosted their 19th Annual Halloween Pet Parade benefit on Sat. October 26th at 1pm in Agawam Park Southampton. This years event honored ARF of the Hamptons, a local rescue organization where Little Lucy came from. The Little Lucy’s fund raising campaign was designed to raise Animal Awareness, by introducing rescue groups in the area that need our help.  Little Lucy’s is the producer and organizer of this event and it has grown to be an annual highlight of the Hamptons fall season.

Owner Patricia Hurley shares, “I started this event 19 years ago, to educate the public about rescue groups. The pet parade is a wonderfully fun family event that also educates Hamptonites about animal awareness to let them know the reasons why they should consider adopting a pet, instead of buying one, & to raise funds for the many local rescue groups out there that need help. I found my Little Lucy from a shelter, & she was my influence to start this.

“So far we’ve raised money for the RSVP group, Wagging Tails Dog Rescue, the Suffolk County SPCA, the Southampton Animal Shelter, and Arf of the Hamptons – where Little Lucy came from.  This years events proceeds went to ARF of the Hamptons.” Check out all the fun parade pix.
