Bravo’s hysterical new original scripted comedy“Odd Mom Out”has quickly become KDHamptons favorite new summer series− and we’re not alone.  Turns out that the star of the hit new show, Jill Kargman, is a childhood pal of Hollywood Hamptonite Gwyneth Paltrow, who professed her love for the series (which airs its season finale tonight, August 3), on Twitter.  Jill and Gwyneth both grew up in NYC, and attended the Spence school together.  The show stars acclaimed author Kargman playing a satirical version of herself as she navigates the treacherous and elite ecosystem of New York’s Upper East Side, and the uber-wealthy mommy clique inhabiting this fantastically outrageous domain. Jill Weber (Kargman) embraces her quirky and somewhat unconventional life with her loving husband, Andy Weber (Andy Buckley, “The Office”), three great kids, and a best friend who shares the same love for donuts and snarky retorts, Vanessa Wrigley.  Jill shares her Hamptons “Love List” below, including why she wants to shoot a Hamptons episode for her show this exclusive NEW KDHamptons Lifestyle Diary below:

KDHamptons: How often do you visit the Hamptons and what do you love most about it?
Jill Kargman: I’m not a home-owner but a home crasher in the Hamptons. I stay with my real best friend Vanessa Eastman in East Hampton but she’s in the cool artsy woodsier part of Springs. We go to Dreesen’s and Golden Pear and Babbette’s where I get barbecue tofu which sounds gnarlisssimi but it is actually orgasmatron. And of course Soulcyle.

KDHamptons: Would you like to shoot an episode in the Hamptons for next season?
Jill Kargman: YES!!!! We had our Brooklyn Episode this season and all I want to do is a Hamptons episode next year…

KDHamptons: Many of the moms you wrote about for the show are Hamptonites in the off season. Do you think they behave better out on the east end?
Jill Kargman: From what I hear there is less pressure out here and people can chill out. The beach elicits another side of themselves. Vacations in general can do that! Hopefully the fresh air and farmlands chill out the lunacy, but I’ve seen a few out there.

KDHamptons: What was the highlight of the first season for you personally?
Jill Kargman: Just shooting on location in Manhattan. We had great weather and we really managed to capture that Woody Allen-y October crisp perfection, especially in our musical number where I kiss the doorman in full uniform with epaulettes, played by our choreographer Tom Gold. It was a magical day…

KDHamptons: You have always had great personal style, are you choosing your own clothing for the show? Which designers are you wearing most?
Jill Kargman: While I do have some, my character is more like me at 28, with some basic stuff from Urban Outfitters or the Gap mixed with Marc by Marc Jacobs, Anna Sui, Philip Lim3.1 etc. Half the clothes are mine in real life and half our designer Staci Greenbaum found. She is a genius– even my best friends couldn’t tell what she bought and what was mine, her vision was so seamless.
