Founded in 2014 by private Chef Allan Wyse and global organic food entrepreneur Erik Bruun Bindslev, WYSE ORGANICS is a Hamptons start-up with a mission to empower more people to savor the best organic, local and seasonal flavors in the comfort of their home.  Inspired to use the rich produce of The Hamptons, WYSE ORGANICS delivers tasty, easy to prepare meals to homes in New York City and Long Island.  Meals, sides and soups for adults and kids are delivered to clients frozen, implementing use of the sous–vide technique used in Michelin Star restaurants around the world.

KDHamptons: Which town do you live / stay in the Hamptons?  Why do you love the East End so much?

WYSE ORGANICS: Allan lives in Bridgehampton,  and Erik lives in Sag Habor.  No better places to live year around.  Strong communities and business convivial.

 

 

 

 

 

 

KDHamptons: Why have Hamptonites responded so quickly to your business?

Allan: We think it’s because Hamptons people appreciate good, healthy organic food, and we make it easy to ‘cook’ a healthy organic meal in just 10 minutes.

KDHamptons: What inspired you to launch WYSE? Can you share a few of your favorite local purveyors / farms?

Erik: The East End has some of the oldest and most precious farmland in the United States, including some of our partner farms, like Green Thumb, which is still farmed by the founding families more than 350 years later.

KDHamptons:  What are your most popular dishes for the spring season?

Allan: For our main range, the spring menu features a great asparagus soup, a Montauk fish soup, chicken in a rich chanterelle sauce, and spring lamb stew.  Also, we will be launching a kid’s line of products.  Classic dishes like broccoli in cheese sauce, mashed peas and carrot and spaghetti and meatballs.  We also offer a set All-Organic, Non-GMO
spring menu, which includes:  Eggplant ‘meatballs’ ($15) Spring Lamb with WildMushrooms ($18), Asparagus Soup ($12), Montauk Fish Soup ($12); Side dishes include Sautéed Fava Bean and Baby Spring Cabbage.

KDHamptons:  Do you also offer catering for dinners and parties?

Erik: We don’t offer catering, however, our dishes are perfect to use for entertaining. You can do full meals from our products or use our products to compliment your own food.  Use just our side dishes or soup as part of your meal.

 

 

 

KDHamptons:  How are the frozen meals prepared?

Allan: The freezing technique preserves the freshness, nutritional value, and taste of the meal in its original form.  The frozen meals are cooked simply by submerging each bag into boiling water for 10 minutes before plating them straight out of the bag — how easy is that?

 

 

 

 

 

 

Chef Allen shares, “It could have been an April Fool’s spoof but it wasn’t….on the first day of April, WYSE ORGANICS dished up a storm for the legendary actress Julianne Moore (above) and her guests.  Over dinner, Julie and her equally amazing co-hostess Cristina Cuomo raised awareness and money for the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance.  (www.tsalliance.org #iamtsc )
