Swallow East Restaurant opened in the summer of 2012 in Montauk with the basic philosophy of “great food, great service, great prices, great atmosphere”. KDH & Doc love hitting this casual hipster beach hut, especially when reggae legend Winston Irie plays into the sunset on Sunday fun days.  The menu consists of new American small plates with delish dishes, including: butternut squash cappuccino soup, “mac & cheese” with orzo, peas, bacon & asiago cream sauce, or Black Angus sliders with tomato jam. Winston will be back this Sunday, September 22nd ~ see you there mon! In the meantime, here’s a peak at some of my favorite dishes to whet your appetite:

Dan’s Papers also gives Swallow East two thumbs up, “Of all the new additions to the Montauk dining scene, Swallow East is the one that has captured this reviewer’s heart. Chef James Tchinnis is a man who clearly enjoys what he does, providing innovative food and drink in an atmosphere that is a little bit Cajun, a little bit Reggae, and a lot of the best of both Old and New Montauk.
