Style bloggers and founders of  The Twin Crowd, Gabrielle and Amber Mancino, grew up on the East End. Gabrielle tells KDH, “We grew up in Sag Harbor, then moved away to North Carolina our sophomore year of high school. Amber attends the Art Institute of Charlotte, and I moved back to attend the Lia Schorr Institute in NYC,  and now I am currently living in Southampton. We couldn’t stay away for long. The Hamptons stunning oceans, unique main streets, and unbelievable dining keeps us coming back.” Learn more about this dynamic style duo in this NEW KDHamptons Fashion Diary, below:

KDHamptons: Please describe your style blog for our readers? [Go to http://thetwincrowd.blogspot.com/]

Amber & Gabrielle: We started The Twin Crowd about a year ago. We have always had a strong passion for style and we wanted an outlet to share our creative thoughts with others. We love high fashion but without the price tags. With our college budgets we enjoy putting together luxe looks for less. We like that we can share our ideas and reach out to girls who are looking for style inspiration. We are so excited to see where it will take us!

KDHamptons: You are twin sisters, but how is your style different from each other?

Amber: My style is overall more colorful and feminine than Gabrielle. I love mixing patterns and bright hues. I like to have fun with my looks. I’m always wearing make-up; you will rarely find me without a bold lip. My eye goes to girly silohuettes like a pleated mini or a striped collared shirt

Gabrielle: My favorite go-to look is always all black pieces with very classic shapes. Amber may say I’m afraid of color but that’s not it, I just have a very minimalist style. I’m drawn to sleek coats and leather skinnies. I like mixing textures and fabrics like laser cuts and leather. I love that we have differences in our personal style because we can push each other out of our comfort zones; it always makes for interesting shopping trips.

KDHamptons: Do you have a specific Hamptons look? Which designers do you wear the most out East? What are your favorite shops here?

Gabrielle: My look at home is very laid back and easy. I try to keep my looks simple but chic. I live in sneakers; I think they make any piece look instantly cool. Wilt, AG Jeans, and Dolce Vita are a few of my fave brands. I’m always searching for a good pair of jeans; my go to shop is Gloria Jewel in Bridgehampton.

Amber: My style is quite feminine; I love that when I’m in the Hamptons I can wear beachy maxis and skirts throughout the summer months.  My key to style is comfort you must feel good to look good. One of my favorite shops is Illusion’s in Sag Harbor; I can always find a special ring or dainty necklace that I won’t take off.

KDHamptons: What is your favorite Hamptons restaurant?

Gabrielle: I would have to say Roberts in Water Mill [above]. The atmosphere is so quaint and comfortable. The food is amazing! My favorite meal was a special one night, I had sea scallops over risotto….my mouth waters just thinking about it.

Amber: My favorite place to eat in the Hamptons would have to be Estia’s Kitchen in Sag Harbor. My dad has been taking us there for breakfast since we were little. The food there is amazing, the perfect mix of comfort and tastes.

KDHamptons: How would you describe your perfect Hamptons day?

Gabrielle: Waking up to fresh coffee while sitting outside enjoying the gardens in our backyard. Then head to the Bagel Buoy in Sag Harbor and pick up some sandwiches and head to the ocean for the afternoon.

Amber: One of our favorite breakfast spots is Poxabougue diner; so starting the day there would make my morning! Then packing up lunch and rose for an afternoon boat ride would be perfection.

KDHamptons: Do you like to entertain at home? Who cooks? What’s your “go-to” dinner plan?

Amber & Gabrielle: We are always having family dinners, brunch, and barbeques in the warmer months. We are Italian, so we all kind of have a hand in the cooking. Pasta is always a go to meal in our house. Summer months call for steak, corn on the cob from the farmers market and grilled seasonal veggies.

KDHamptons: Please describe your Hamptons home and decorating style?

Amber & Gabrielle: It is quite eclectic, decorated with collectables of family travels over the years. The backyard is my favorite place to be, its quite peaceful. Surrounded by stunning flower gardens.

KDHamptons: If you could invite three people to your Hamptons home for dinner, whom would you choose?

Gabrielle: Jimmy Fallon, Olivia Palermo, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (hope they come as a pair)

Amber: Leslie Mann, Julie Sarinana, and Kate Moss

KDHamptons: What is a serious fashion “don’t” in the Hamptons?

Amber & Gabrielle: Don’t over do it! (we both majorly agree on this). The Hamptons are about being chic with ease. Many times you will be going from the ocean to a dinner party: It’s great to look nice but you don’t want to look like your trying really hard. The Hampton’s are laid back and easy going, so you want to always focus on simplicity and having an effortless look.
