This week, KDHamptons introduces you to parenting expert, mother of triplets, wife of Fred Mwangaguhunga, and Southampton resident Notoya Green. This is one busy lady! Notoya tells KDH, “Sometimes I feel I have the hardest job in America with the longest and most grueling hours ~ I’m a stay at home mom of triplet toddlers! In addition to that, I am also a nationally recognized parenting expert, appearing on HLN’s Raising America and The Couch, and I also write a blog, tripletsintribeca.com and a monthly column for Manhattan Family magazine.”

KDHamptons: How long have you been coming to the Hamptons?  Why do you love it so much?

Notoya: I have been coming to the Hamptons since 2009 and it’s one of my favorite places to be in the world because it’s quiet, beautiful and very family oriented.

KDHamptons: Describe your perfect Hamptons summer day in detail.

Notoya: My perfect Hamptons day starts with a great family breakfast and then a trip to the beach. For me it’s hard to conceive of a perfect Hamptons day that doesn’t involve the beach.  Afterwards I like to go town (without the kids) and go shopping and have lunch and a glass of wine with my husband at 75 Main (sitting outside of course!).  Then go back to the house to have dinner with the kids and then get dressed for date night in East Hampton for dessert and a drink.

KDHamptons: What are your favorite activities to do with your children in the Hamptons?

Notoya: One of the things we love to do with the kids is to take them berry picking during the summer and pumpkin picking in fall. The Hamptons has a lot of great farms so there are always a lot of neat things to do with kids there. We also take them to the beach religiously! We take them to the beach so much so that they ask us to take them now and they are not even three yet! During summer we also take them to a local farm for pony rides on Sundays and of course we always end the summer with the kiddie events at the Hampton Classic.

KDHamptons: What is your typical Hamptons look?

Notoya: My sense of style is definitely different in the Hamptons than it is in the city.  My typical Hamptons look is more dresses, bold prints and bright colors. Something about bold prints makes me feel like I am on vacation, which is perfect for the Hamptons.

KDHamptons: What are your top three beauty tips for KDH readers?

Notoya: Get lots of facials, a tan, and never forget to wear blush.

KDHamptons: What is your favorite Hamptons restaurant?

Notoya: My favorite Hamptons restaurant is Nick & Toni’s. They have a great staff and great service.  It’s also great for celebrity sightings too. I have seen everyone there from Martha Stewart to Alec Baldwin and I love it.  My favorite dish is definitely the zucchini chips. One of these days I might surprise everyone and make it at home.

KDHamptons: If you could invite any three people [dead, alive, or fictional] to your next Hamptons dinner party, whom would you choose?

Notoya: Kelly Ripa, Oprah Winfrey and Martha Stewart.

KDHamptons: How do you “do-it-all”? You seem to balance work and family so well…Can you share a couple tips for busy KDHamptons readers?

Notoya: It’s difficult because my family life is my work and I don’t get many breaks. I am very dedicated to my work as a parenting expert and that requires a lot of hours of me as well. So to make things work I have a very strict schedule. I use much of my day to focus on my kids and their development because that is important to me. I also carve out a few hours for myself to focus on my work as a parenting expert. I use that time to write, answer emails and prepare for TV appearances. I have also had to employ the help of others to help me with chores and meal preparation so I can focus on things that can’t be delegated.
