KDHamptons: How would you describe your perfect Hamptons day?

David Diskin: Sleep late, love to go to Sunset Beach on Shelter Island for breakfast, head back to my Sag Harbor house, hang out with my kids by the pool, go to SYS in Southampton for a game of Doubles Squash, meet up with friends at Georgica Beach in East Hampton for a beach barbeque, and back home later to play music with my friends at my house…

KDHamptons: Why did you decide to open your business in the Hamptons?

David: Since my business can really be based anywhere in the country, we decided why not the Hamptons? It’s a great place for inspiration and creativity and also an amazing place to raise a family.

KDHamptons: How would you describe your company to KDH readers?

David: We offer exclusive modern art, printed on canvas, all designed exclusively in our Bridgehampton design studio. We advertise in national magazines like Dwell and Elle Decor and ship our products nationwide everyday. I would say the best part about our company is that we offer a great decorative solution for high style art at an affordable price.

KDHamptons: Are you a Hamptons foodie? What is your favorite restaurant?

David: The American Hotel in Sag Harbor is my favorite restaurant on the East End, because I love the classic, time-tested, quality food there. My favorite dish is the scallops with risotto.

KDHamptons: Please describe your hamptons home? Do you have a favorite room?

David: I designed my home from myself. The exterior style is a traditional Sag Harbor home with a classical architectural vocabulary. However, the interior style is an eclectic mix of minimalist, midcentury, and mod style. My favorite room is my outdoor courtyard, and my favorite item in the home is my big stone Ganesh [below].

KDHamptons: What is your best kept Hamptons secret?

David: Hmmm, I would say Crab Island in Barcelona Neck. It’s a great place to take your boat and pull it up on the beach for an afternoon.

KDHamptons: What is your personal style or “Hamptons uniform”?

David: I like to mix surf style clothes from Main Beach and pair them with Fred Perry, Pretty Green, and Polo.

KDHamptons: What are your favorite summer purchases?

David: I love to shop at Neo Studio, my good friend there brings in amazing antiques from all over the world, and I love to browse and shop at Harpers Books in East Hampton for incredible collectable photography books [below]. Harper has the best collection probably in the whole world.

KDHamptons: Do you have a summer mantra?

David: Not necessarily a mantra, but a summer lifestyle…I try to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible. Summer comes and goes very quickly and when you live in one of the best vacation spots in the world, it’s easy to forget it!
