The second annual summer celebration hosted by The Armory Show in conjunction with Blair Voltz Clarke and Natasha Schlesinger at the home of screenwriter Chiswell Langhorne was a great success. The event brought collectors, press, and members of the New York art community together at Langhorne’s home in Sag Harbor. Guests toured Langhorne’s collection that includes works from: Robert Longo, Thomas Ruff, Dan Colen, Barnaby Furnas, and Wolfgang Tillmans, among others pictured here. His brightly lit modernist residence is situated on five acres and was built by celebrated architect Annabelle Selldorf.

Haute Hamptons hostess of the event, Blair Clarke, shares, “This year, we were also pleased to add live performance and site-specific artworks to this afternoon of cocktails, canapés, and conversation. Artists Lia Chavez [below], Annabel Daou, and Karen Tompkins presented a diverse selection of pieces chosen for the occasion.”

Lia shares, “It was so moving to encounter such a generous, participatory audience and it really was an adventure into the elastic nature of time. I couldn’t believe how quickly time passed in that meditative space. Luminous Objects is my ongoing performative expedition into deep inner space.

Meditation is a doorway into the inner universe, a place flourishing with surprising visions: multicolored, stroboscopic light, complex geometries, unfamiliar spatial dimensions, and other surreal visual experiences await. Through this durational meditation performance, I journey into radiant inner space and share the adventure in real-time.”
