KDHamptons: Describe your Hamptons spa offering for KDHamptons readers?

Aimee: In the Hamptons, I am offering my regular acupuncture services as well as facial rejuvenation acupuncture. When I work with patients I use not only acupuncture, but also nutrition, Chinese herbs and lifestyle recommendations to get their bodies and minds in optimal health and alignment.

KDHamptons: Describe your products and ingredient ?

Aimee: I started Aimee Raupp Beauty because I found there is such a lack of truly organic and chemical free products on the market. My whole approach is that you shouldn’t put anything on your skin that you couldn’t eat. As I deal with a lot of fertility and hormonal disorders I really urge patients to avoid products that contain harmful parabens and fragrances and other toxic chemicals that can disrupt their hormonal system.

My line is literally “kitchen cabinet beauty” made with 100% certified organic ingredients like: coconut oil, argan oil and sesame oil combined with highly effective essential oils to deliver to your skin anti-aging and beautifying potions. My most popular sellers are my anti-aging facial oil, body butter and lip balm. Check out all my products at www.aimeerauppbeauty.com. Coming soon to the line are a nourishing daytime facial oil, eye serum, facial cleanser and tinted moisturizer with SPF.

KDHamptons: Who is the best candidate for acupuncture?

Aimee: Acupuncture can honestly treat most all medical conditions. In my practice I deal with a lot of fertility/ hormonal issues, as well as treatment for anxiety, depression, insomnia and auto immune conditions. The service that’s been most popular in the Hamptons this summer has been the facial rejuvenation acupuncture which is a great approach to anti-aging and rejuvenating your appearance. My clients love it.

KDHamptons: What does a typical treatment include?

Aimee: The treatments include a full body acupuncture treatment along with needles inserted into the face to decrease fine Lines and wrinkles, promote collagen production, tighten sagging muscles and bring a healthy youthful glow to the skin. I combine the facial acupuncture with a homemade collagen mask and my own Aimee Raupp Beauty skin care products.

KDHamptons: Is acupuncture painful? How many sessions does it take effect to notice the effects?

Aimee: Acupuncture in general really isn’t painful. Some patients feel a small sting or prick when the needle first goes in. But the needles are so fine [as fine as human hair] that most people feel nothing except for incredibly relaxed and peaceful. Usually a course of treatment is 10 acupuncture sessions but it really depends on the patients issue they are seeking assistance with.

KDHamptons: You also practice in NYC, which do you enjoy more?

Aimee: I love both offices but the pace in the Hamptons suits me best. Its just so simple and quiet and serene. However during the summer I maintain office hours in the city and I love getting my NYC fix.

KDHamptons: Tell us about the book you are working on?

Aimee: I am currently completing my second book which is on the topic of what I like to call: fertility rejuvenation. My first book, Chill Out and Get Healthy, is a practical guide for women on improving all aspects of their health- mental, emotional and physical- now so that they can live their best life. This second book, which will likely be entitled: Yes, You Can Get Pregnant is for women thinking about or currently trying to get pregnant. It combines dietary and lifestyle advice as well as really taps into the mental-emotional components that are so implicated in the ever growing fertility problems we are facing as a society. I’m really enjoying writing this book in the Hamptons–being surrounded by nature is really feeding and inspiring my writing.

KDHamptons: Will you be working year round in the Hamptons ?

Aimee: Ill be practicing in the Hamptons through the end of October this year.

KDHamptons: What do you love most about the East End?

Aimee: My long runs along lush green wooded roads. I love how deep I sleep. I love the ocean. I love the people. I love the farmers markets and fresh flowers. It’s just such a special place and it really inspires my work.

KDHamptons: How would you describe your perfect Hamptons day?

Aimee: Wake up well rested. Spend 10 minutes meditating outside. Head out for a nice long run [or hit Soul Cycle]. Take an outdoor shower. Cook some farm fresh eggs for breakfast. See some patients. Snack on some fresh fruit and veggies. Write outside listening to the birds chirp. Meet up with friends for dinner. It’s a good life!
