Master Of The House: Marius Ene Mixes The Perfect Hamptons 75 Cocktail at Topping Rose

Have you ever wondered who invented the Bloody Mary? Its an interesting story and, depending on who tells it, a story with a variety of different outcomes. Topping Rose House had a similar moment in time this winter, and we expect that years from now there will be no debate on who created the Hamptons 75.

Our Marius Ene, the cocktail wizard of Bridgehampton, set out to create the perfect drink for the east end this summer. Inspired by the 200th Anniversary of Veuve Clicquot’s sparkling rosé, he hoped to find a balance between France’s love of history and the Hamptons’ love of anything pink.

After months of testing, the perfect Hamptons 75 was born. Simply fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add two ounces of Hendrick’s rose infused gin. One ounce of lemon juice and once ounce of simple syrup is added to the shaker then shaken well and strained into a martini glass. Fill the remainder of the glass with Veuve Clicquot’s pink label rosé. For the perfect touch, rose petals are added from the farm at Topping Rose House. Summer is just around the corner, it’s time to toast the season!
