Laraine Gordon Launches Humanitarian Relief Efforts from Southampton to Puerto Rico

In 2007, Hamptons resident Laraine Gordon had the innovative idea to establish a not-for profit organization geared towards grieving teens called Time for Teens. TFT is the only bereavement organization focused on using creative expression and experiential therapy and wellness retreats to support teens who have suffered the loss of a loved one. The teens who attend TFT are between the ages of 12 – 19. Each year Laraine teams up with Eric Striffler as their resident photographer to run amazing wellness retreats in Rincon Puerto Rico. The proceeds from the retreats have historically gone to Laraine’s 501c3 Charity organization, Time for Teens.

For 2018, Ms. Gordon has decided to dedicate her annual Love Your Life Wellness Retreat to raising funds for BOTH Rincon Disaster Relief and Time for Teens simultaneously.
Due to the recent devastation of Hurricane Maria, Love Your Life Coastal, is teaming up with humanitarians and sponsors alike to help rebuild Rincon, Puerto Rico. So in 2018, Love Your Life Coastal will present Rincon Relief Retreat. The proceeds from this retreat will go
to The Hogar orphanage in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico.

Laraine shares, “We sent down the first shipment to The Hogar on November 4th 2017, this completes Phase 1 of the Humanitarian Relief Effort. Clothes for the older children, water straws to filter contaminated water and various hygiene products were shipped and received. Phase 2 will be a second shipment of baby clothes, doTERRA insect repellent and doTERRA first aid supplies for the children.”

Please go to www.LoveYourLifeCoastal.com for more information on how to help or make a donation today, or to register for the Rincon Relief Retreat.  Particpants attending the retreat will be included in all 4 Phases of the Relief Effort, specifically a hands on project helping rebuild the orphanages playground and planting a vegetable garden during the retreat.
