Townline BBQ Rolls Out New Taps Behind the Bar

Townline BBQ (3593 Townline Road, Sagaponack), continues to grow their beverage program by adding four new taps to their line-up. The custom tap system was crafted in Slovenia by Andrej Premk of Wayland Works, a family company in business for 80 years. The first new tap is reserved for a special brew, Pilsner Urquell. The world’s finest pilsner is express shipped, fully refrigerated from the Czech Republic directly to Townline.  The Pilsner is served through the custom tap into classic mugs, ensuring the freshest beer and a perfect pour.  The pouring process of the brew is very particular as noted in the brewery’s video found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtzNj9d9BIU

Two of the new taps are reserved for wines. Wines are making their way onto taps increasingly throughout top restaurants and bars throughout the world. This trend now debuts in the Hamptons with a red and white wine from The Gotham Project in New York City, a provider of expertly chilled kegged wine.  The wine taps will rotate due to availability and seasonality. The current wines pouring are Empire Builder Bordeaux blend from New York and Elki Sauvignon Blanc from Chile.  The red will be changing in the coming weeks to feature a fuller Malbec for the colder temperatures, El Rede’ Malbec from Argentina.

The final tap will be reserved for a cocktail. Food and beverage director Richard Scoffier is currently developing a recipe for a Manhattan that should be pouring in the next month.  The cocktail tap will rotate seasonally as well, look for negronis, infusions and other barrel-aged concoctions.
