Honest Catering announced the addition today of Rachel Cronemeyer [above] as the new pastry chef of Honest Man Restaurants. In her new position, Rachel will oversee all dessert operations at all Honest properties including: Nick & Toni’s, Rowdy Hall, La Fondita, Townline BBQ, Nick & Toni’s Café and Honest Catering. Welcome to the Hamptons Rachel ~ we can’t wait to try your treats!

 

 

 

 

A native of Long Island, NY, Rachel’s passion for baking started at a young age. She was drawn to the kitchen, and would spend hours preparing treats for her family and friends. In 2008, she enrolled in the Baking and Pastry Arts program at Suffolk County Community College, and in 2009 she relocated to the North Fork. She quickly fell in love with the “serene atmosphere, beautiful beaches and bountiful farms”.

 

 

Shortly after moving, Rachel began her internship at the highly acclaimed North Fork Table and Inn, where she worked under the James Beard Award Winning Pastry Chef Claudia Fleming for three and a half years. After graduation, she began working as an Assistant Chef for Suffolk County Community College’s Baking and Pastry Arts Program, where she was able to hone her craft and inspire others in the field.

 

 

 

 

In 2012, Rachel started her own company, Rachel Cronemeyer Cakes & Confections. Rachel’s menus at all properties are unique to each restaurant’s concept and compliment the menus with rustic and simple desserts with an emphasis on seasonal and local bounty.  Some of her dessert menu additions at the properties are as follows:
