KDHamptons Feast End Diary: Lunch at La Fondita!

Looking to add a little “muy excitada” to your Hamptons lunchtime? Over the weekend, KDH decided to take a pretty back-roads drive with Lily to La Fondita, in Amagansett. A family favorite, or perfect date-night destination, La Fondita [“little kitchen”] serves traditional Mexican food reminiscent of the street food found in markets and taquerias throughout Mexico. Colorful papel picado strung from the ceiling, and tile covered counters displaying ripe avocados, fresh limes, and homemade salsas add to the kitsch and casual vibe of this great spot ~ and did we mention the food is fantastic?

KDH loves the tacos [one pork, one pollo], the Posole Rojo and Lily orders a custom vegetarian burrito [both, pictured here].  If you are headed to the beach, you can order everything to go for a Mexican beach picnic.
